Description
A 10-year-old Mexican boy fatally shot another boy after he hit him while playing a video game in the violent eastern state of Veracruz, authorities said.
The boy took a gun from the family home and shot the 11-year-old victim in the head on Sunday after being disturbed at a video game rental store. The boy and his family later left the place.
“All I ask is that you help me achieve justice,” the victim's mother told reporters at her funeral on Tuesday. “My son died because the parents of the boy who killed my son were irresponsible by leaving a gun on the table,” she added. Veracruz is one of the most violent states in Mexico due to turf wars between drug traffickers. More than 340,000 people have been killed across the Latin American country since the government deployed the armed forces in the war on drugs in 2006. More controls on children are needed to prevent such incidents in the future .Only responsible persons be given license of guns etc.
