The cause of this crash was the ignorance of the captain towards the first officer as first officer called 3 time to "go around" because of unstabliized approach to land the aircraft. This resulted in overshooting the runway and aircraft fell down the hillside and bursted into flames.

As per one of the survivor the aircraft broke in two pieces and he came out of it. Other 6 passengers followed him. There is an estimate that 15 fire trucks and 20 ambulances approached the crash site.

Investigation revealed that the throttle handle was in forward position and co-pilot Ahluwalia had warned the commander 3 times to abort landing and go around. Co-pilot warned the captain approx. 4 km before the runway.
