Introduction

Cirrus Aircraft of Minnesota, United States produced a single engine light weight jet known as Cirrus Vision SF50.  This is a small private jet and a main and most lovable feature of this plane is that it has a parachute installed on its upper surface in case of engine failure one can easily land on earth using this parachute.

First flight of Cirrus Vision SF50 was on July 3, 2008 however on 2009 it's development process was slowed down because of funds.

Development

"The Jet" was the name of this project from 2006 to 2008. On July 9, 2008 this jet got its name Cirrus announced it as "Vision SF50". Vision SF50 was launched in market in 2016 and now it is commonly known as Vision Jet.


Recession in 2009 had an impact on the project and progress on the project slowed down. By February 2014 Vision Jet completed the approx. 800 hours of test flying. Now, the company got 550 orders of the Vision Jet.

On December 19, 2016 the first Vision Jet was delivered to the customer and by April 2017 the Cirrus delivered 25 units of this jet.

This single engine jet uses Williams FJ33-4A-19 turbofan and it produces 1900 lbf.


Vision jet has maximum speed of 556 km/h and cruise speed of 444 km/h.
