Description
AI startup Runway, credited with developing the AI Stable Diffusion image generator, has just released its first mobile app to give users access to its generative video-to-video model. Gen 1 is currently only available on iOS devices. With this, users can now record video from their mobile phones and output AI video in minutes. Not only that, they can edit any existing video in their library via text prompts, images, or style presets, reported Tech Crunch. According to the report, users will be able to choose from presets including "Cloudscape" or transform their video to look like clay, charcoal sketch, and more. They will be able to upload an image or enter an idea in the text box which will generate four previews to choose from. It will take a few minutes to produce the final video.
The free version of this app only has 525 credits and only five second videos can be downloaded. A single second uses 14 credits. The company plans to add support for longer videos and will continue to improve and release new features. Runway co-founder and CEO Cristóbal Valenzuela said the company focuses on improving efficiency, quality and control. Users will see more updates, such as longer versions of high-quality videos.
