Description
Devil May Cry developer Capcom Studios will release its remake of Resident Evil 4 Mercenaries on April 7. But some Korean gamers claimed that they could access the game before its actual release date. Some of them also claimed that the latest release lacked important key content. The Resident Evil games are mostly based on the horror arcade style horde mode where players have to fight their way through hordes of infected. The OG One grants players access to Mercenary mode at the end of its campaign, where the remake took a different approach and was supposed to launch starting tomorrow. Korean players, who were able to play the game before the release date, claimed that the new mod lacked two main key characters, Ada Wong and Albert Wesker, as playable characters. These two characters were the bulk of the previous version, but they were missing from the new version and the community is not happy about it. Some have speculated that Capcom might remove these characters as paid content at a later date. If this happens, the rumor about the presence of microtransactions in the game will be true.
Players and data miners spotted this feature early on when they discovered "Upgrade Tickets", which will give players an XP boost for Mercenary mode.
The description of the upgrade tickets reads: “Here is your ticket to the gun show! More precisely, a ticket to redeem in the merchant's shop, with this you will have access to exclusive upgrades of a weapon, regardless of the level of the weapon.
So it looks like the upgrade ticket is nothing more than a pay-to-win, which isn't fair to competitive multiplayer scenarios.
