Description
The WhatsApp instant messaging app is working on a new feature that will help users share their status updates on Facebook Stories without leaving the platform. According to a latest report from WABetaInfo, a website that tracks the latest WhatsApp updates, the process can be automatic for certain status updates you choose when the option is enabled. Previously, it was possible to share status updates, but users had to manually share the update each time they posted a new one. WhatsApp users can decide which status updates they want to share on Facebook. This feature is optional and disabled by default. If a status update needs to be shared, it can be enabled directly in the status privacy settings. If WhatsApp users decide they no longer want to share their status updates to Facebook Stories, they can turn the option off at any time. This will allow users to share their updates with a wider audience, says the WABetaInfo report. The website said that in the future, users will be able to share their updates on Instagram in the near future. This feature to share status updates on Facebook Stories without leaving the Meta-owned platform is currently in development. WhatsApp recently said that it banned nearly 46 lakh Indian accounts in February after they were found to be violating its user safety guidelines. The platform listed the actions taken on the accounts in its monthly India report.
