A few weeks ago, the American game Giant Valve released its new installment of Counter-Strike for limited data. Since then, the game has become more and more popular among the FPS gaming community and also a golden opportunity for data miners. The new client hides several intriguing and meta-changing features, which are quickly discovered by eagle-eyed miners. The most striking feature of all is the possible addition of taunts, just like in Fortnite. This feature is very common in new age games like Genshin Impact, Fortnite, Overwatch 2, and more, but it would be interesting to see its likely incorporation into a game like Counter Strike. Twitter-based CS:GO leaker Gabe Follower has revealed the possible new feature. He posted various mocking gestures and animations on his Twitter account. Gabe also explained that this feature may not be for normal competitive matchmaking, but for additional modes like Danger Zone. He also mentioned that these animations are teases and not intros or endings of the game.

Gabe stated, “Previously we only had first and third person taunt mentions, but with the CS2 beta we got actual animation footage. It is important to note that it will most likely be bound to the Danger Zone and will not be used in normal Counter-Strike matchmaking.

The taunts Gabe posted are pretty common, not over the top. This includes the army salute, clapping, punching, high five, pointing and also a ruthless gesture. The most braggadocio would be the character doing an uppercut before raising his fist in the air. There is also a taunt where CT shoots himself in the head with a wave of his hand.

However, Valve hasn't revealed anything about this new addition, but considering this wide variety of animations, the developers are definitely up to something.

While it's unclear why Gabe thinks the taunts feature will be exclusive to only CS2 battle royale modes like Danger Zone, Battle Royale would be the most appropriate place for taunts or could result in balancing or farming with certain emotes. in normal CS, like prime AWP or deagle shot corners with specific emotes.

It also showed us that from a third-person perspective, players can take advantage of Taunt's zoom outs to look behind them. So the new feature will take place in a first-person perspective.
