It's been two years since Riot Games announced it for Valorant mobile, until then, the enthusiastic fans are busy with the different versions of the game available on Android and IOS. In January 2022, a Chinese developer called NetEase Games released Hyper Front, which is a blatant 5v5 tactical shooter scam. About Hyper Front Even a kid who has never played Valorant can tell how much Hyper Front resembles Riot's lovechild. From the characters to the maps, even the level designs are taken from Valorant.

Since day one NetEase has had issues with this game, Apple removed it from their App Store for undisclosed reasons. Although it is a Valorant scam, it might not be very successful. Google Play Store shows that Hyper Front has more than 100,000 downloads so far.

In July 2022, NetEase held a $100,000 tournament for SEA (South East Asia) and the Americans, which when it caught Riot's eye and in December 2022 they went after the title.

Hyper Front has announced its closure in a week

The official Twitter user for Hyper Front recently announced that they will be removing the game on April 10 at 8am UTC. Until then, the server will be active and players will be able to enjoy the title. Although neither Riot nor NetEase have made it clear why the Chinese developer has "suspended" the game, as the legal issue is still unresolved.

With the announcement, NetEase made it clear that there were no refunds for players. They also said they would delete player data once the servers are gone.
