Description

Hogwarts Legacy players looking to wield their magical might might wonder if they can take out their professors with a Killing Curse, but the answer is a resounding "no." According to a fact check, the masters are off-limits when it comes to unforgivable curses like Avada Kedavra. While players can use many spells from the Harry Potter franchise, including Imperio and Crucio, they are tied to a path in the game that inspires them to be on the "good side." This means that players can't go rogue and wreak havoc within Hogwarts, and they certainly can't use a Killing Curse on their teachers. Using the curse in front of the teachers will cause various responses from them depending on their personality, but there will be no other consequences. However, for players who wish to embrace their inner Dark Wizard, modded versions of the game are available that allow them to eliminate anyone within the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and use other forms of ancient magic.

Although these mods are still in development and may contain bugs, they offer players the chance to immerse themselves in the world of Dark Magic and follow the path of a villain. So if you fancy going rogue at Hogwarts, a modified experience might be the way to go.

Hogwarts Legacy, produced by Avalanche Games and WB Games, is currently available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with releases on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One coming soon. Although players won't be able to take down their masters with a Killing Curse, there's still plenty of magic in this exciting game.
