Rockstar Games released a new update for its iconic game, Grand Theft Auto 5, today, February 28, 2023, and players are excited to see the latest fixes and improvements to the game. The update, which is available on all major platforms including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S has fixed several major security vulnerabilities and other performance issues. According to legendary Rockstar member Tez2, the size of the update is around 400MB to 1GB depending on your platform, which is a small price to pay for the improvements made with the patch. One of the biggest changes gamers will notice is improved performance mode mirroring on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Mirrors will now reflect more accurately, providing a more immersive gaming experience.
Rockstar Games has also implemented a new data protocol to improve network session and message security, making it more difficult for hackers to exploit vulnerabilities in the game God, this is a step in the right direction to protect lobbies online.
The update also fixed numerous crashes that occurred during online sessions, improving game stability and performance. Players can now mod the RCV, TM-02 Khanjali, and Chernobog at their install, which was not possible before. There have also been general stability improvements across all platforms.
PC gamers who have been having trouble accessing the online servers will be happy to know that the update has resolved the issue caused by third-party changes to player stats. The patch also fixed an issue that allowed users to abuse text chats on PCs.
