HMD Global's new 'green' smartphone, the Nokia X30 5G, launched at a starting price of ₹48,999, has been criticized by netizens who called it "not cheap". The Nokia X30 is said to be the most expensive Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 powered phone in India. The company's website claims that the body of the "flagship" smartphone is made of 100% recycled aluminum and 65% recycled plastic. However, Twitterati is not convinced by its price compared to the features it offers.
Calling it a “flagship killer” device with cutting-edge technology, one user wrote: “Nokia unveiled X30 5G in India. Android 12 and Snapdragon 695 SOC cost just 5500/- Yes, just 5500/- but when you order, you just need multiply it by 10.” Another Twitter user, encoword, joked that users are likely to opt for the 5G-enabled phone.
