WhatsApp is rolling out a feature that will allow users to keep disappearing messages, so they can last for everyone in the chat. That's according to WhatsApp news tracker WABetaInfo, which reported in July last year that the Meta-owned platform was developing such a feature.
The feature, WABetaInfo said, is available to select beta testers for now. Is that how it works: As shown in the screenshot above, users will now see a new "saved messages" section in the chat info (in case the capability has been enabled for their WhatsApp account). Here, if someone decides to keep a disappearing message, that text/image/video/GIF will not disappear from the chat after expiration. However, people will be able to remove them at any time.
