To provide a better user experience for WhatsApp groups, the Meta-owned service is expanding the ability to post longer group topics and descriptions, according to a report from WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp-related news and updates.
The following screenshot, shared by WABetaInfo, shows how group admins will be able to use this feature. As mentioned above, WhatsApp is changing the maximum character limit that admins can use when entering group subject and description. To give them more freedom when naming groups, the maximum character limit has been extended from 25 to 100. In addition, to describe a group, the instant messaging platform increases the maximum character limit from 512 to 2,048. As a result, users will have more space to add important details and information, which they could not otherwise, due to space limitations.
