Microsoft said on Wednesday that it had identified a "potential network issue" while investigating an outage that has left Teams, the company's business communications platform, unavailable to thousands of users in India. The outage also affected Outlook, the US tech giant's email service. “We have identified a potential network issue and are reviewing telemetry to determine next troubleshooting steps,” Microsoft said in a tweet. According to Downdetector.com, which tracks these outages, there have been more than 3,700 incidents of users reporting problems with Teams. Meanwhile, social media has been inundated with memes, as always happens with earthquakes or when a social media app goes down.
“Microsoft Teams is down. Me: Maybe I should do another job. me: (makes memes for twitter),” one user tweeted, while another wondered if it was just him or if services were down for everyone.
Microsoft Teams also went down in July of last year, affecting thousands of users around the world.
