Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif admitted on Monday that his country has learned its lesson after three wars with India. Furthermore, he stated that Pakistan wants peace with its neighbor. “India is our neighboring country. It is up to us to live in peace and progress, or to fight among ourselves and waste time and resources. We have had three wars with India, and they have only brought more misery, poverty and unemployment to the people. We have learned our lesson and we want to live in peace, as long as we can solve our genuine problems," Sharif said in an interview with Al Arabiya TV. Financial crisis and unemployment are major issues as per told by Pakistan PM.
He also called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that Pakistan wants peace, but what is happening in Kashmir must be stopped. However, Pakistan's prime minister racked up accusations of human rights violations and said they could not be ignored. He called on his Indian counterpart to hold serious and candid talks to resolve burning issues including Kashmir, saying the UAE leadership could play an important role in bringing India and Pakistan to the negotiating table. He said: “Pakistan does not want to waste resources on bombs and ammunition. We are nuclear powers, armed to the teeth, and if God forbid a war breaks out, who will live to tell what happened?
