(File) Border Security Forces (BSF) intercepted a drone infiltrating from Pakistan into the Gurdaspur sector of Punjab on Friday firing at it, forcing it to turn back, authorities said. "Incoming drone from Pakistani side was intercepted (by fire) by BSF alert troops in Gurdaspur area. After being fired upon, drone returned to Pakistan. Search operation ongoing," BSF Punjab Frontier tweeted.

Also, on Wednesday, the BSF intercepted a drone infiltrating from the Pakistani side by opening fire on it.
"A rebel drone entering from the Pak side was intercepted by gunfire from BSF alert troops in the Amritsar area. After being fired on, the drone returned to the Pak side," BSF said in a press release.
On March 28, the BSF shot down a Pakistani drone in Amritsar shortly after it entered Indian territory with a shipment of contraband, the paramilitary force said.
The drone was shot down in Amritsar when BSF troops heard the drone of the flying object. It was recovered the next morning during a search operation by border guards. The drone entered Indian territory from Pakistan and was detected in the area of the Rajatal border post in the Amritsar sector, BSF said.
