Mamata Banerjee said: "The BJP is doing total hooliganism in Bengal." Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee blamed the opposition state BJP for the violence in Kaliaganj in north Bengal, from where a video of policemen being beaten went viral. A police station in the Kaliaganj district was torched by a mob during a protest on Tuesday over the death of a teenager. A few days ago, the region had witnessed massive protests over this. Initially, it was reported that the teenager had been raped and murdered, sparking mass anger in the area. Suvendu Adhikari from Bengal BJP tweeted: Another rape and murder of an underage girl on WB. The prime minister said that the resulting violence is the work of the BJP. “The BJP just brought in people from Bihar,” who she says ransacked the police station and burned it down. "They entered the police station with weapons, looted the villagers. And they also brutally beat the police," the prime minister said. "I will not say that the incident (the death of the teenager) was planned. Sometimes certain things happen... It is an unfortunate incident and we are with the family. But what happened after this, of course it was planned. vandalism in Bengal because they are getting full support from Delhi." The doctors said that he had taken poison. The police filmed the autopsy and the autopsy report is also there. Therefore, the police will take strong action," Banerjee said.

BJP head of state Sukanta Majumdar said the prime minister had "lost control" of the administration. there are many problems in this state,” Majumdar said.

"What is unfortunate is that in this state there was an incident in Kaliaganj. There was a previous incident in Kaliachak in Malda and then again we are seeing incidents in Malda... This is not how the state administration can operate and the Chief Minister has completely lost control," he said.
