Rahul Gandhi said that he prefers "Indian mithai" to French desserts. Former Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, in a recent video interview, revealed some interesting things about his life. In the clip shared on his Instagram account, the leader of Congress is seen discussing his passion for food and also revealed his "favorite cook." In the interview with 'Khaane Mein Kya Hai' YouTube channel, Mr. Gandhi revealed that former Bihar Prime Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav prepares good food. He added: "But between all of us, my mother makes the best food." Congress chef says 'my sister won't like it', but Congress veteran Sonia Gandhi is 'number 1' in the kitchen. The former MP said that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, her sister and the general secretary of the big old party, ranks second in terms of cooking.

Mr. Gandhi also said that he drinks coffee in the morning and prefers tea in the evening. In addition, he also said that he prefers "Indian mithai" to French desserts and if given a choice between sweet and spicy foods, he would choose the former.

A few days ago, the former Congress leader visited the Matia Mahal market in Old Delhi and the Bengali market and relished popular dishes from these neighborhoods. Mr. Gandhi visited a famous "sheerbet" vendor in the Matia Mahal area. He indulged in fruits and also tried Nathu sweets "golgappas" in the Bengali market. He was often seen visiting popular eating places in Delhi.

Rahul Gandhi left his official residence in central Delhi yesterday, the last day of the deadline following his disqualification as a member of the lower house of parliament. The Lok Sabha Housing Committee sent him a letter asking him to vacate his bungalow at 12 Tughlaq Lane, which he has occupied since 2005, by April 22.
