"Arun Yogiraj will carve the idol in stone brought to Ayodhya from the Karkar and Hegge Deven Kote villages of Karnataka... The carver will finalize the stone from which the idol will be carved," he added.

The trust's general secretary, Champat Rai, said he chose "krishna shila" after consultations among psychics, geologists, sculptors, Hindu scripture experts and trust officials.
