Mumbai police registered an FIR against Bollywood actor Sahil Khan and a woman for allegedly threatening a 43-year-old sportswoman and uploading her defamatory posts on social media, an official said on Wednesday. According to the complainant, a suburban Oshiwara resident, argued with a woman at a gym over money in February 2023. The accused woman and Sahil Khan abused and threatened the complainant, the manager said.
The defendant duo also published defamatory posts on social media against the plaintiff and her relatives, it said, citing the first information report (FIR) filed on Tuesday.
A case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for slander, threat and attempt to insult the modesty of a woman at Oshiwara Police Station.
The official said the accused woman had an affair with the complainant's husband and filed a complaint against him at a police station.
Mr. Khan has starred in movies like Style, Xcuse Me, Aladdin, and Ramaa: The Savior.
