“We have decided to provide free Rs 4 lakh to each of the relatives of the deceased. He also said that relatives will have to declare that they will encourage people to stop drinking alcohol and support state government prohibition laws.

The sale and consumption of alcohol was completely banned in Bihar in April 2016.

The compensation amount will be provided by the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, Kumar added.
