(File photo) As Congress leader Sachin Pilot hurled corruption accusations against him, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje spoke of standing rock-solid in critical situations. Attending a religious gathering in the Dungarpur district on Thursday, the BJP leader, without naming anyone or referring to any context, said one must have faith in God, "then no one can harm you."
He later tweeted: "We don't care about them, they care about us." Adding that 'Sudarshan Chakradhari' is his protector, he added, "Hold on like a rock in difficult circumstances. Have faith in God and the ability to fight in yourself, then no one can harm you." Mrs. Raje also told the story of an evil true devotee and concluded that no matter how many plots one hatches, the true devotee is victorious.
His statement gains prominence after former Rajasthan Deputy Prime Minister Pilot sat in for a day of fasting in Jaipur on Tuesday, urging the Ashok Gehlot-led government to act on alleged corruption cases when the BJP was ruling the state under the Mrs Raje.
Sachin Pilot, who was the head of the Pradesh Congress Committee under BJP rule from 2013 to 2018, raised allegations of corruption and made it an election issue in the latest Assembly polls.
The former deputy prime minister claimed that the people voted for Congress on the issue, but the party did not act on the issues after he came to power.
