After challenging party leaders with a public rally against his party-led government in Rajasthan, Congress leader Sachin Pilot will travel to Delhi today, reportedly to meet party leaders. Although the possibility of Pilot meeting with the party leader is not yet scheduled, sources within the party have not ruled out the possibility of Pilot meeting with the party leadership. Sachin Pilot's fast on Tuesday to pressure Ashok Gehlot's government to act against corruption prompted a stern warning from Congress, which said such action on his part would amount to anti-partisan activity. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who has always been silent, called a press conference today.

Against a backdrop without the name or symbol of Congress, Pilot began his day-long fast in Jaipur on Tuesday surrounded by supporters targeting his party rival Ashok Gehlot, whom he accuses of failing to comply with accusations against Vasundhara Raje of the BJP.

"We had assured people that the previous BJP government would take effective action against corruption. They wanted the Congress government to act, but it hasn't happened for over four years," Mr Pilot said.

"This fight against corruption will continue," he said.

Moments after beginning his protest, Gehlot posted a video in which he listed his government's social policies, attempting to present himself as a "pro-poor common man prime minister."

"Rajasthan will be No. 1 by 2029," Gehlot said, declaring the price hike an election issue.

Public spats between the two Rajasthan leaders have left Congress deeply embarrassed as it prepares for elections in one of the few states it rules.

The congressional leadership appears to have supported Gehlot, at least for now.

"Sachin Pilot's one-day fast on Tuesday goes against party interests and constitutes anti-party activity. If there is a problem with his own government, it can be discussed in party forums, rather than in the media and the public," Congress said. . Rajasthan official Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa had said in a statement on Monday.

“I have been leading the AICC for five months and Pilot ji has never talked to me about this issue. I am in contact with him and I always call for a calm dialogue because he is an indisputable asset for the Congress party. Randhawa said.

Pilot's latest confrontation with Ashok Gehlot is seen as an attempt to pressure Congress leaders to resolve the question of who will be the key face of the party in Rajasthan.
