False opposition accusations wont stop action against corruption: PM

(File) Mocking the opposition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that all those deeply entrenched in corruption have banded together and are attacking the country's constitutional institutions. Prime Minister Modi was addressing an event after inaugurating the newly built BJP Headquarters (extension) here in the nation's capital.

In his speech, Prime Minister Modi said, "We have a strong foundation of constitutional institutions. So to stop India, constitutional institutions are under attack. Plots are being hatched to smear our institutions and damage their credibility."

“When agencies take action against those deeply entrenched in corruption, they attack the agencies. When the courts issue an order, questions about the justice system arise,” he added.

Prime Minister Modi also said that the anti-corruption action has brought together all the "corrupt" people.

“We see that some parties have also launched Bhrashtachari Bachao Abhiyan. Today, all the faces that give themselves over to corruption meet on one stage. The whole country is seeing this and understanding it,” he added.

The Prime Minister said that for the past nine years, the BJP has carried out an anti-corruption campaign, which has shaken the corrupt and corrupt.

"Corruption has caused serious damage to the country like termites. Every time the BJP comes to power, it deals a huge blow to corruption. For the first time in seven decades, such measures are taken against the corrupt. Earlier today, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the presidential campus and auditorium here in the nation's capital. During the event, the Prime Minister and other leaders also held prayers and paid tribute to the party's founders.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Party Chairman JP Nadda, Party Leader Murli Manohar Joshi and several other senior party leaders attended the occasion.
