The girl attacked her parents with an ax until they died, authorities said. (Representative) A 16-year-old girl was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly killing her parents with an ax in Bulandshahr, police said. Shabbir, 45, and his wife Rihana, 42, were found dead at their home in Farukhi Nagar Lal Darwaza Mohalla on March 15, Chief Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar said.
During the investigation, the teenager's involvement in the double murder came to light and she was detained for questioning.
The SSP said that when the girl was questioned, she said that she used to talk to children, so her parents got upset and also beat her for that.
The teenager decided to kill her parents and obtained 20 intoxicating pills from a young man that she mixed with her parents' food. When they were knocked unconscious, she attacked her parents with an ax until they died, she said.
The underage girl has been detained and will be brought before the Juvenile Justice Board, Kumar said.
He said the weapon used in the commission of the crime was recovered, adding that the young man who provided him with the tablets had also been arrested and convicted under the NDPS Act.
