Krishna Prakash, a senior officer with the Indian Police Service (IPS), claimed that he swam from India Gate to the Elephanta caves in the Arabian Sea and became the first person in the world to do so. On Sunday, the bureaucrat, posted to Mumbai as Police Inspector General in the VIP Protection Department, accomplished the feat during a sea-swimming adventure. Unlike the popular swimming course, Prakash said he took up the challenge of swimming against the waves to cover a distance of 16.20 km in 5 hours 26 minutes from India Gate to Elephanta caves. "Today I completed the arduous task of swimming from the Gateway of India to the Elephanta Caves and became the first person in the world to do so. After completing the task, the IPS official was seen posing with a trophy and a garland around his neck. The tweet went viral and garnered over 4.2 lakh views and over 14,000 likes.

Several Twitter users, including many bureaucrats, praised Mr. Prakash for this incredible achievement. IPS Dipanshu Kabra commented on the tweet, writing: “Congratulations”, while IPS Sukirti Madhav Mishra wrote: “Sir, this is amazing. Congratulations sir.''
