Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who was disqualified from Lok Sabha yesterday after his conviction and jail term for libel, will speak at a press conference today at 1pm. His Wayanad seat also became vacant after his disqualification. Gandhi was found guilty on Thursday of libel for a 2019 election campaign comment that implied that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a criminal. However, he was released on bail and his sentence was suspended for 30 days to allow him to appeal the decision.
