During the ongoing crackdown, state police have so far arrested 114 people. The manhunt for Khalistan leader Amritpal Singh entered its third day today, with the AAP government stressing that lawlessness will not be allowed and strict action will be taken against anyone who tries to disturb the peace. Punjab Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, speaking at a press conference at the party office on Monday, said he was constantly receiving calls from people in the state and abroad who appreciated the Bhagwant Mann government for its action against the "elements antisocial".

Stating that Punjab is in the safe hands of Chief Minister Mann, Mr. Dhaliwal stated that no anti-social element will be allowed to flourish in the state.

Police launched a massive crackdown on Saturday against Amritpal Singh, who has been prominent in recent months for demanding the creation of Khalistan, and members of his "Waris Punjab De" group.

Punjab was rocked by a violent Khalistan separatist movement in the 1980s and early 1990s in which thousands of people were killed.

"The people of Punjab are very happy with this action against the anti-social elements. He said that the Mann government will not allow any form of lawlessness," Dhaliwal said, adding that the Punjab youth did not need bullets or guns.
