"Rahul Gandhi has crossed all the boundaries of democracy," said JP Nadda. (File) BJP Chairman JP Nadda on Sunday accused Rahul Gandhi of trespassing on all boundaries of democracy and said he should be sent to pack "locks, stocks and barrels" in a democratic manner. “Those who do not believe in democracy have no place in democracy,” Nadda said in his virtual speech after the inauguration of the “National Youth Parliament” of his party's youth wing, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, held in Chennai.

Congress is mentally bankrupt, Nadda said while alleging that Rahul Gandhi "instigated" foreign powers like the United States and European countries to interfere in India's internal affairs by claiming they were "unconscious" as democracy was threatened in India.

"Rahul Gandhi has crossed all the boundaries of democracy," he said.

What kind of statements does he make? asked JP Nadda, saying that the people of India do not listen to him, they just tolerate him.

"Rahul Gandhi has not only insulted the nation with his shameful remarks about India's democratic values, but has also called on foreign nations to intervene in our country," the BJP president said.

Congress, however, rejected the BJP's accusation and Rahul Gandhi requested permission to speak in Parliament to address criticism from members of the ruling party over his comments in Britain.

Congress claimed that the BJP was "misrepresenting" his comments to divert attention from the Adani issue.

Parliament's budget session has been a flop since its second part began on March 13, with the BJP demanding an apology from Rahul Gandhi.

During their interactions in the UK, Rahul Gandhi alleged that the structures of Indian democracy were under attack and that there was a "wide-scale attack" on the country's institutions. Gandhi's comments sparked a political row, with the BJP accusing him of slandering India on foreign soil and seeking foreign intervention, and Congress hit back at the ruling party, citing instances where Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised domestic policy abroad. .
