Description

Arrested former minister Manish Sisodia has been asked to vacate his official bungalow. Amid controversy over the alleged leaking of ex-minister Manish Sisodia's official residency award to Delhi Education Minister Atishi, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena was hit by the ruling Aam Aadmi party on Friday, saying he had an obsessive advertising disorder and he had no other job than to swear at the AAP. “You insult the dignity of a constitutional office by leaking information to the media in this way. It is ironic that a person, seen across the country in a viral clip attacking an activist like a bully, would leak inside information to the media," AAP said. in a statement, launching a scathing attack on LG.

The AAP affirmed that the law and the convention establish that a minister, when resigning his position, must leave his official residence.

"Regarding the ordinance on the residence of the former deputy CM, there is a law that establishes that a minister, upon resigning his position, must leave his official or government residence within a period of 15 days," the PAA said.

Furthermore, according to the ruling party in the national capital, headed by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the order to that effect was issued in accordance with the law.

"Aam Aadmi Party unequivocally reaffirms that not only CM Arvind Kejriwal, but the whole country supports Manish Sisodia. The whole country is amazed by his work in the field of education," the party said in its statement.

Further citing Sisodia's arrest in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case, which it called "unjustified", the party said: "The AAP has been doing a signature campaign in Delhi and the country and we have seen that everyone thinks the arrest of Manish Sisodia is illegal."

Earlier, on March 9, in a decision necessitated by the resignation of ministers arrested Sisodia and Satyendar Jain in alcohol policy and money laundering cases respectively, AAP MPs Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj were sworn in as Delhi cabinet ministers. .

Mr. Sisodia was arrested by the CBI in the alcoholic beverage policy case on February 26 and was held in custody for 14 days on March 6.

Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court recently held him in custody until March 20.

Atishi was given the education, disability, energy and tourism portfolios after being sworn in as minister, while Bharadwaj was given health, water and industries and urban development. They were sworn in by LG Saxena.
