The alleged fake doctor has since been on the run. (Representative) An FIR has been registered against a suspected fake doctor after a 2 1/2-month-old boy died after performing minor surgery on him, police said Thursday. The baby died on Wednesday from excessive bleeding after Tilak Singh operated on it. It was alleged that Singh failed to inform the family of the baby's death and fled, a police official said.
Chief Medical Officer Umesh Chandra Tripathi said an FIR has been filed in the case and has also ordered an investigation into it.
