Rs 101 crore has been made available for the metro service in the state capital Dehradun. Uttarakhand Finance Minister Premchand Agarwal presented a budget on Wednesday with a total expenditure of Rs 77,407 crore for the 2023-24 fiscal year. Mr. Aggarwal presented the budget in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday at 2pm, emphasizing start-ups, nature conservation, self-reliance, good governance and self-employment.
At the mention of the anti-copy law, BJP MPs greeted the new budget with a tap on their desks.
Among the major announcements, the state government has offered a monetary allowance worth Rs 1,000 crore for any rescue operation in Joshimath and other sustainable areas of the land.
Around Rs 40 crore has been allocated to Chief Minister Swarojgar Yojana for 2023-24.
On Tuesday, the Uttarakhand government submitted its economic survey report for 2022-23 to the Assembly.
In the economic survey report prepared by the Department of Economics and Statistics, details of the progress of various departments as well as statistics related to the state's economy have been provided.
The annual document is prepared each year and presented during the budget session before the state legislature.
As a result, the state income per capita (provisional) for the year 2020-21 was estimated at Rs 185,761, while for the year 2021-2022 it is estimated at Rs 205,840.
