K Kavitha, the top leader of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), is leading a hunger strike in New Delhi today to demand the introduction of the Women's Reservation Bill in Parliament. Leaders of various opposition parties including Congress, Trinamool Congress and Samajwadi Party are expected to attend Ms Kavitha's one-day protest at Jantar Mantar in the nation's capital. This comes a day before his questioning by the Law Enforcement Directorate in connection with the Delhi liquor policy scam.
Ms Kavitha, who is also the daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, said yesterday that 18 parties had endorsed her protest.
