K Kavitha, daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, will be questioned by Law Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Delhi's liquor policy case on March 10. The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader was questioned by the CBI in Hyderabad for more than seven hours on December 12 in connection with the case. The Law Enforcement Branch is investigating money laundering allegations related to the Alcoholic Beverage Policy case.

Ms Kavitha's summons comes a day after a Delhi court sent Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Ramchandra Pillai into custody until March 13 and liquor magnate Amandeep Dhall until March 21. March.

The Law Enforcement Directorate alleged that Ms Kavitha was part of the 'Southern Cartel' who profited from bribes in the Delhi liquor policy case.

Delhi's alcohol policy, launched in November 2021, was withdrawn by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government last year after Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, a representative of the BJP-led government in the center, ordered a CBI investigation.

Both the ED and the CBI have alleged that various wrongdoings were committed when the alcohol policy was changed with lobby kickbacks from the Cartel del Sur.

The group reportedly consisted of Ms Kavitha, Andhra Pradesh YSR Congress ruling MP Magunta Srinivasalu Reddy and Sarath Reddy of Aurobindo Pharma.

In forceful answer to the accusations, the head of the BRS said in December of the last year: "The truth will prevail".

"The charges against me are completely false and false. Only time will prove my sincerity. Pro-capitalists," he said.

AAP leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, another defendant in the case, was jailed in Tihar jail after a CBI court held him in custody for 14 days until March 20.
