The banner was removed after people protested, according to the complaint. Delhi Police filed a complaint against the hanging of a banner reading "I love Manish Sisodia" at the gate of a Delhi public school in the Shastri Park area of north-east Delhi on Saturday. Neighbors protested during the installation of the banner on Friday morning, after which they filed a complaint with the police.

The complaint was lodged by a local resident, Diwakar Pandey, for whom the Delhi Police registered a case under Section 3 of the Delhi Property Damage Prevention Act at Shastri Park Police Station.

The coordinator of the School Management Committee (SMC), Gazala, and the school principal placed the banner at the school gate.

While speaking to ANI, the whistleblower, Diwakar Pandey, said: "On March 3, between 8:00 and 8:30 am, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers were placing a banner over the gate of the School Public Shastri Park. . First, they took a desk out of the school, they took it outside and climbed on it and they started to put an “I love Manish Sisodia” sign on the door, which people objected to and said it was a temple of education, keep it out of politics."

"We even asked them if they had permission. They claimed to be related to MP Abdul Rehman. After that, a person contacted the MP and asked if he had given permission and the MP replied yes. We know the MP is lying as such permission is never granted for a school to be used for political purposes." Pandy added.

The whistleblower said the banner was removed after people protested.

He said: "The problem is that the children were forced to write 'I love Manish Sisodia'. Our culture does not allow all these things."

“They are trying to brainwash children. We asked the manager, but he did not recognize the seriousness of the matter, so I made a complaint. The police opened a case upon becoming aware of it and assured that the culprits will be punished." he added.

While speaking to ANI, a local resident, Durgesh Tiwari said: "Some AAP workers had come here and they put the 'I love Sisodia' banner on the door and called the children who came to the school to sit by the door." .

"I confronted them and told them that what they were doing was wrong. To this, the workers responded that what the government was doing was wrong and that our education minister had been sent to jail. They said that the children sympathized with him." Tiwari added.

Expressing her dissatisfaction with the incident, Tiwari said, "Children are advocating alcoholism, to what extent is it correct? These people force the child and the school principal to do such activities. At the same school, these representatives led carried out religious activities, however, no action was taken.

Mr. Sisodia was arrested by the CBI last Sunday for alleged irregularities in the development and implementation of Delhi's new excise policy. The policy was withdrawn amid accusations of foul play by the opposition.

Manish Sisodia had filed a plea of bail at the Rouse Avenue Court on Friday after the SC refused to intervene in the case.

The new bail application filed on behalf of Mr. Sisodia in a trial court in the nation's capital says that no fruitful purpose will be served by keeping him (Sisodia) in custody, as all recoveries in the case have already been made.

He further said that former Delhi MP CM was cooperating with the investigation and had come forward whenever summoned by the CBI. The other defendants arrested in the case have already been released on bail, it added.

Mr. Sisodia, in his plea, further stated that he held the important constitutional position of Deputy CM and had deep roots in society.
