“We would like to make a clarification regarding my statement to the United Nations, which is being deliberately misinterpreted, manipulated and distorted by some anti-Hindu sections of the media.

“We urge the Government of India to take action against these anti-Hindu elements who continue to attack and incite violence against SPH and KAILASA. It is important to note that these actions do not reflect the values or beliefs of the vast majority. of the Indian population.

Representatives of Nithyananda's self-proclaimed country, the "Kailasa Republic," attended a United Nations event in Geneva last week, where they called for the protection of the controversial man-god who calls himself the "sovereign pontiff of Hinduism." .

However, the UN human rights office said any comments made by the representatives during their public meetings in Geneva were "irrelevant".

Nithyananda representatives spoke on Kailasa's behalf on "indigenous rights and sustainable development." However, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) said it was not authorized to distribute promotional material and that its comments had not been taken into consideration.

Nithyananda is facing a rape case at Ramanagara in Karnataka. The case was filed in 2010 based on a complaint from its driver. Nityhyananda was arrested but later released on bail. In 2020, his driver claimed that Nithyananda had fled the country.
