Voting began at 7 a.m. and will continue until 4 p.m. Voting is underway at four polling stations in Nagaland on Wednesday, an official said. Voting is taking place at New Colony polling station in Zunheboto constituency, Pangti V in Sanis constituency, Jaboka Village in Tizit constituency and Pathso East Wing in Thonoknyu constituency, the official said. .

State election officials did not cite any reason for voting at the four polling places.

The Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday announced voting in four polling stations out of the 2,291 polling stations in Nagaland that went to the polls on Monday.

On the basis of the reports submitted by the general observers and after taking into account all the material circumstances, the commission declared invalid the vote held on Monday in the four polling stations, said EC Under-Secretary Surender Singh.

Voting for the 59 seats in the Assembly took place on Monday, while the votes will be counted on Thursday.
