A 35-year-old Congress leader was shot dead by robbers in Ramgarh, Jharkhand, two days before a bypass vote in the district, police said. The incident occurred at around 8 p.m. Saturday near an old gasoline pump on the Bhurkunda-Patratu highway in Saunda region, some 50 km from the state capital Ranchi, a senior official said.
