A Chhattisgarh Armed Forces (CAF) police chief was killed after a pressurized improvised explosive device (IED) planted by Naxalites was detonated in the Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh on Sunday, police said.

The incident occurred at around 7 am near Batum village within the confines of Orchha police station, Narayanpur Police Additional Superintendent Hemsagar Sidar said.
