Nagaland will vote to elect a new 60-member Assembly on February 27.
Before the polls, 116 candidates declared assets of more than Rs 1 crore, two more than in previous polls. With 52 of its candidates declaring assets of more than Rs 1 crore, 87% of the NDPP-BJP candidates are crorepatis. The average asset per candidate in the 2023 polls is Rs 5.13 crores. In the 2018 surveys, the average assets per candidate was Rs 3.76 crore.
