National airlines have reported 2,613 significant technical problems with their planes in the past five years, Union Minister VK Singh told the Lok Sabha on Thursday. The Minister of State for Civil Aviation said that the regulations require that events related to system and component failures be reported to the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC).
