Opposition parties have called a meeting for the second day in a row to demand a debate and investigation into fraud allegations against the Adani Group that have led to bloodshed in the stock market.
A meeting in opposition chambers was reconvened, Rajya Sabha leader Mallikarjun Kharge for party leaders a day after both houses of parliament adjourned early amid calls for an inquiry. The parties demand a discussion on the downside risk of Adani Group shares for Indian investors following allegations of fraud by US short seller Hindenburg Research. They also called for an investigation by a parliamentary panel or a committee appointed by the Supreme Court.
