A widow was beaten, her face blackened and paraded with a shoe garland in a village in Maharashtra's Nashik district by women after they questioned the circumstances surrounding her husband's death, police said Tuesday. The incident occurred in the village of Shivre in Chandwad taluka, 65 km from the city of Nashik, on January 30.
