President Draupadi Murmu said she was "shocked and disturbed" by the passing of Odisha Health Minister Naba Kishore Das and offered her deepest condolences to his family. Naba Kishore Das died on Sunday after being shot dead by an assistant sub-inspector in Odisha's Jharsuguda district. The accused police officer is believed to suffer from a mental disorder.
