A group of men posing as CBI officers raided the home of a businessman in the Bhowanipore area of Kolkata and allegedly looted ₹30 lakh and jewellery, police said.

According to the complaint filed by Suresh Wadhwa, 60, at Bhowanipore Police Station, a group of 7-8 men posing as CBI agents broke into his residence on Rupchand Mukherjee Lane at around 8am. m. on Monday and began what they said was a "Raid."

"The men arrived in three vehicles with police stickers attached. I opened the door and they forced their way in, telling me they were CBI officers. I asked them to show their identity papers, but they didn't bother," Wadhwa said. when contacted.

Police has started the investigation in this case and has started collecting the CCTV footage from the locality to find out the three vehicles used in the crime. Police is also taking statements of the servants and employees of the farm that belonged to Wadhwas. This is also noted that the criminals were known about the location of jewelry and the cash their house.
