14 meters in height and cylindrical in shape, It was the world's largest freestanding aquarium. Sea Life Berlin has an elevator that rides through Aquadom Aquarium. It bursts injuring 2 people by the splinters of the glass. Police also evacuated the hotel in the same complex too.
As per the Berlin fire brigade the no causalities found in this incident. Even dog squad was deployed for search and rescue operations.
According to the DomAquaree complex website, the aquarium was last refurbished in 2020. During the upgrade work, all water was drained from the tank and the fish were moved to aquariums in the basement of the building, where there is a shelter for the fish, it said.
