Description
The Metropolitan Police said the officers were off duty and a man was arrested. Two police officers were stabbed to death in central London in the early hours of Friday. Scotland Yard said the male officers were off duty when the incident occurred in Greek Street, Soho.
Police arrived at the scene after being called by the London Ambulance Service at around 3:30am to report that a man had been stabbed.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm under Section 18 and possession of Class A drugs.
A man suspected of causing serious bodily injury and possession of a Class A drug has been arrested.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Officers attended the scene. A second man was later located, also suffering from stab wounds.
"Both men were taken to hospital for treatment. Both men are now in stable condition.
“A man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm under Section 18 and possession of Class A drugs.
"He was taken to a west London police station where he is currently staying."
Police are still investigating the circumstances of what happened.
