He nibbled on the sticky snack but said he didn't notice the different colors, saying he was "too hungry" to time it.
It wasn't until his friends pointed out the strange coloration in the video that Adam said he realized he had swallowed the prize money.
Cadbury has relaunched its search for creamy eggs by hiding 280 half white and half milk chocolate versions in UK stores.
Customers who purchase one of the mixed eggs can claim a prize of £10,000.
Adam, from Sevenoaks, Kent, who runs the Adz Ventures YouTube channel, said: "I didn't notice it because it didn't taste different to me. I was just hungry."
"I don't feel so bad eating it. I mean, who else can say they ate ten thousand in 30 seconds?
“Money comes and goes, but the story of epic failure lasts a lifetime.
"But yeah, obviously the money would have been nice.
Now he's appealing to the chocolate giant to shell out some of the prize money.
Adam added: "Cadbury should give me at least part of the prize as a consolation prize.
"When you think about it, that's one less egg than anyone else can find.
"To be honest, I had no idea the competition existed, so it's definitely not their fault.
"And if I had noticed and sent it to you, chances are it would have gotten lost in the mail anyway."
Cadbury has been contacted for comment.
