Description

Headlines on Sunday are taken by the clash between Gary Lineker and the BBC after the football presenter was pulled from the day's match after criticizing the government over its immigration bill. The Sunday Mirror reports Lineker's son has said his father is keen to return to the show but will never back down from criticizing the Tories for their treatment of small boat migrants. Sunday People add that the BBC has pleaded with the former footballer to return.

Rishi Sunak "intervened dramatically" and berated Lineker, according to The Mail On Sunday.

And the Sunday Telegraph writes that the BBC chief executive has refused to resign because it "hints at an escalation in Gary Lineker's rank."
