Midweek newspapers are headlined by the government crackdown on small boats crossing the English Channel and the murder trial of the man accused of killing nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel. The Daily Express, The Times and The Guardian publish the controversial policy, with the latter citing the UN's claim that the Conservatives are "extinguishing the right to seek refugee protection in the UK". Football commentator Gary Lineker, who has criticized the policy by comparing it to the Nazi regime, is the subject of front pages of the Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail after Conservative MPs demanded that the BBC reprimand him.
